Casa Guargnè is the perfect base for exploring Cortina d’Ampezzo and its surroundings.
Just a few minutes’ walk from the centre — with its elegant boutiques, historic cafés and iconic bell tower — and a ten-minute walk from the ski slopes, Casa Guargnè lets you experience the Queen of the Dolomites without compromising on tranquillity.
Alpine lakes, spectacular peaks, museums, and scenic trails are all easily reachable by car.
How to get here
From Cortina d’Ampezzo centre (Corso Italia)
Follow SS51 west through the town centre. After about 600 m, take SP24b following the signs to Verocai. You’ll reach Casa Guargnè within minutes.
From Milan or Bolzano
From Milan: take the A4 motorway towards Venice, then the A22 Brenner motorway north to Bolzano. Continue through Val Pusteria towards Cortina.
From Bolzano: follow the SS49 through Val Pusteria to Cortina, then turn towards Verocai following local signs.
Casa Guargnè is located at numbers 121–122, with free private parking available.
Cortina d’Ampezzo does not have its own train station. The nearest ones are:
- Calalzo di Cadore: the closest station. From here, a Dolomitibus line connects directly to Cortina (approx. 40 minutes).
- Belluno: connected to Cortina by bus (approx. 1.5–2 hours).
- Bolzano: connections via bus through the Dolomites (approx. 2–3 hours).
From Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), one of the nearest and best-connected international airports. From here, you can take a public bus, a private shuttle, or rent a car to reach Cortina. The journey by car or bus takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours.
From Treviso Canova Airport (TSF): buses and car rental services are available to reach Cortina, with a travel time of around 2 to 2.5 hours.
From Bolzano Airport (BZO): the closest airport in terms of distance (around 103 km), though it offers a limited number of flights and connections. The journey by car takes about 1.5 to 2 hours..
Casa Guargnè offers an airport shuttle service upon request (an extra charge applies).
